Bungay Division

The Bungay Division covers a large area of North East Suffolk. There are twenty five parishes, all the way from Homersfield in the West, to Mutford in the East. Sotterley and Shadingfield are in the South East.

I live in St James South Elmham, the South West corner of the Division. My wife Rachel and I live in an old farm house – which we are still, very slowly, restoring. We keep a few sheep, some chickens, and a cat. Rachel is the church warden in St James, and is also a volunteer at All Hallows Nursing Home (Adele House) in Bungay. I have been your County Councillor since 2009, I am also Deputy leader of Waveney District Council with democratic responsibility for Planning and Coastal Management. I enjoy the role which, not surprisingly, does take up much of my time. I never forget that my primary duty is to speak up for Bungay and the rural villages.  As residents, we are fortunate to live in a beautiful part of Suffolk, we have a thriving rural economy, but I am concerned that there has been a noticeable decline in rural policing.
